He descends from a powerful line of proud vampire slayers, typically it was the men in the family who would have to follow down this path - and pass the knowledge on - which would be a great honor, but also - it came with a lot of pressure.
As the youngest, Jessie would not only have to follow in his father's foodprints, but also in his older brothers - who had already turned out to be great at everything they’d do.
Where Jessie had always had a hard time keeping up - both with school and social obligations. He fell behind and - when the teenages rage started to set in, it became so much harder, and his parents had a tough time handling him. So! He was shipped over sea to attend a boarding school - similar to a military school, where he’d be disciplined.
And when that didn’t help? He was forced to move in with his weird uncle Seamus, in his smelly small-ass apartment in downtown Paris.
